Engine ECU circuit board being prepared for a custom tuning file

Custom tuning files

Custom tuning files, built per vehicle

Custom tuning files prepared per vehicle — Stage 1 and Stage 2 calibrations for cars, vans, trucks and machinery, checked against the stock file.

What a proper tuning file service looks like

A tuning file is only as good as the process behind it. Every calibration here starts from the vehicle's own original file — read from the ECU, archived, then modified for the exact engine, hardware and use case. Stage 1 for healthy standard engines, Stage 2 for hardware-supported builds, economy files for working vehicles and custom calibrations for anything a catalogue cannot cover.

Per-vehicle calibration

The tuning file is built from your ECU's original read, not a lookalike map for a similar engine. Torque limiters, boost, fuelling and protection strategies are adjusted together, as one calibration.

Stage 1 and Stage 2 routes

Stage 1 stays within the safe envelope of standard hardware. Stage 2 supports exhaust, intake and intercooler upgrades — declared up front and calibrated accordingly.

Checked before it is written

Every modified file is compared against the stock calibration before flashing, and the original is archived so the vehicle has a guaranteed way back to standard.

Cars, trucks and machinery

The same file discipline covers performance cars, vans, HGVs and agricultural machinery. Only the calibration goals change — the process never does.

From quote to road in four steps

Read the ECU file

The original file is read from the vehicle and archived before any modified file is written.

Build the calibration

The tuning file is prepared for the exact engine, hardware and requested route — performance, economy or diagnostics-led.

Check against stock

The modified calibration is compared with the original file before it goes anywhere near the vehicle.

Write and road check

The file is written back, the vehicle is checked under real conditions and handed over with a clear record of what changed.

Tuning files are managed through the TuningBay portal — the same professional workflow used by dedicated file services.
